In my earlier ranting about gas prices, the pathetic condition of the dollar, and the ever recurrent theme of my HATRED of losers, one might have have absorbed the idea that I feel a stronger dollar will result in lower gas prices. That indeed, it's not OPEC fucking us unnecessarily for once.

Oh damn, I was right.

Wall Street shot higher Thursday as investors, while anticipating another dismal jobs report Friday, viewed the rising dollar and falling oil prices as promising signs for the economy. The Dow Jones industrial average soared nearly 190 points to close above 13,000 for the first time since Jan. 3. (emphasis mine)

Upon seeing this, I scurry to GasBuddy to take a look at the trends.

Yep, I was right.



As for the dismal jobs report, Drudge tells me that that particular doom cry is another pile of horse shit.

Really, it makes me wonder if all this "THE WORLD IS ENDING FOOD SHORTAGE GAS 10 DOLLARS" isn't just rhetoric to scare us. Americans as a whole watch the news (CNN, I'm loosely grouping you in with this) far too much and freak out far too easily with what tripe is displayed. You ever notice that when things are getting good, they pull that tired old Abu Ghraib shit out? It's their version of reruns. OH BUT LOOK HATE YOURSELF FOR BEING AMERICAN THEY HAD TO WEAR PANTIES. /yawn

We aren't the fragile spun glass pansies they want us to believe we are. Keep the faith in the dollar, it's going to rebound. KEEP MAKING YOUR PAYMENTS. Man up, now is not the time to pull bitch moves and bail financially. I want to see gas under 3 bucks by time the monsoons come!

Gas prices.

Let it be known, first off, that I've found a deeper hatred for the human race than I ever thought possible. Part of this is because of the goddamned WHINING I've heard over gas prices.

Ohhh whhaaahhh oh god it's so HIIIIGH.

Did anyone ever think that these high gas prices are our fault? I can't blame OPEC for this. Do you realize how furious this makes me?

Here's a neat little idea and a solution to these horrid gas prices.

MAKE YOUR PAYMENTS ON TIME. I have a 500 dollar car payment, a 1500 dollar house payment, and I make sure that shit is paid on time, every month. And no, I don't want a cookie for shit I'm supposed to do.

The reason our dollar is fucked is because of two types of people in this nation; impatient, spoiled, self-entitled losers and the enablers who love them. To every loan officer who handed out a mortgage to some insolvent scrub, I salute you. With both fingers.

These people think literally nothing of abandoning their financial obligations. They don't care if they're leaving someone else to hold the bag - all they care about is that their day to day routine is unchanged. They still get to buy their cigarettes, buy whatever DVD or shiny shit their simple mind wants, and all is right in their little world. Instead of the proper labeling of "LOSER" and being shunned, their social circle just shrugs. Because they too, are losers. They think, "Oh, someone else will take care of it, it's a big company, they can take the loss so whatever..."

Enough "Oh, whatever.." will take down any company.

Now, this is not to say the mortgage companies are blameless in this clusterfuck. I still hear commercials on the radio, "No credit? Bad credit? NO PROBLEM!! We'll finance ANYONE!" and this will cause me to start some horrendous vocal hatred in the car. I still feel that the mortgage companies are going to angle for what the airline companies got a while back - being bailed out by the government for their own foolish actions.

If people have no credit, they are untested. They could go either way. Unless someone has had to claim bankruptcy for medical purposes, then chances are they have made some piss-poor financial decisions, either by taking on more than they could handle, or in how they chose to handle their current obligation. This means that (shocker), they can't handle money. Until they prove that they can actually handle money, they shouldn't be trusted with large sums.

For the record, I started out my credit by getting a Kay's Jewelry card, and made small purchases and paid them off. I was almost 26 before I got my first credit card, and I have yet to max it out. I don't care if I sound like some self-righteous bitch. I went to school, worked hard and earned everything. I have never walked away from any of my financial obligations. I went through unholy HELL getting my house, despite my credit being in the mid 700's and making well over what they required for the payments. Why? Because they didn't think that a 23 year old unmarried female could handle it. (I proved them wrong.)

The dead weight is what's killing this country. Not OPEC.

Open Letter

I start this post with an open letter to everyone involved in the whole home mortgage fiasco.

To the banks: You gave it out from both pant legs to every no-account jackass wanting to get in on The American Dream. Your bleeding heart facade, yet avaricious desire in handing out mortgages to everyone has resulted in a cluster-fuck of incandescently epic proportions. There is a goddamned REASON why credit scores exist. There is a very good reason why if the number is low, that person is generally untrustworthy with a large sum of money. You miserable gut-slithering imbeciles rode the odds that they'd foreclose early, you'd sell the house for a tidy sum and come out on top. What you didn't foresee is people holding on just long enough until their ARMs expired, borrowing nastily against their house and causing a cascade of upside down befuckery that caused the market to shit itself. Then, you have the unmitigated gall to cry to the government, and try to get foreign investors to bail your worthless asses out of your self-created Titanic. When you see that any trickle of help you DO get is going to be insufficient, you turn on the people who are making good on their financial commitment, gutting them and fucking them over, scrabbling furiously to get some hold.

To the people crying because their losing their house to the "evil" banks: SHUT UP. Just SHUT UP NOW. I find it remarkably interesting that you didn't have the "circumstances" that plague you now, the shit storm that is "forcing" you to give up "your home", when you signed your name to that snazzy low payment interest only loan. I find it intriguing that you KNEW you were not financially ready when that interest only portion of the loan expired. I find it enormously repulsive that you blame the banks for not protecting you from yourself. Your white trash, instant gratification, credit card, claim bankruptcy attitude got you where you are. You did no research. You just signed and talked shit.

And now, to the asshole who sold his house for 200k when it should have been sold for 250+, therefore fucking me hardcore on my own refinancing (which should have gone smoothly otherwise): I don't know you. I don't know your life. I don't know the circumstances that caused you to eviscerate your price and sell out worse than BMW with their 100 series. All I know is that your fuck it attitude has affected me. Personally. However, I am not like you; I've made contingency plans and as such, I will be perfectly fine. You are the shining example in my mind now, though, of the person who should have been laughed out of the mortgage office. You never should have been handed shit. The very fact that you undersold to such a horrific degree tells me that you didn't know what the you were doing in the first place. Thank you, however, for opening my eyes. I had thought that once I got to a certain point, people like you couldn't harm me any longer. I was most assuredly wrong.

Chavez is showing us what we already knew by threatening to deploy warplanes on Colombia. That fatnecked fuck is going to harass Colombia until something breaks, we step in, and he'll howl to the world how he was right and the "Imperialist Regime" is trying to invade him. I pray for him to become seriously disabled. A stroke leaving him drooling would be very nice. Diabetes causing impotence would also make me pleased.

Obama is going to kick the shit out of Hillary. Unless McCain picks Thompson or a damn close equivalent thereof for a running mate, we will be looking at our first black POTUS.

The "rebate" idea is terrible. Yes, let's give people cash so they can buy more drugs and other things underground and not taxable! A+ idea. Morons.
